challenge
The Steel Deck Institute is an established engineering industry association. With nearly 20 members and 10 associate members, the association was looking for ways to connect with their members beyond their current efforts. The association was looking for new ways to connect on digital platforms such as LinkedIn and through traditional methods such as press releases.
Knowing they faced limitations and knowledge on how to appropriately connect with their members online, the Steel Deck Institute partnered with Forward Momentum Sales and Marketing to assist.
Solution
Over the span of two years, Forward Momentum Sales and Marketing has collaborated with the Steel Deck Institute on a variety of projects. As an ongoing project, Katy continues to maintain the Steel Deck Institute LinkedIn page, updating it with important association and industry updates. All updates are done in partnership with the Managing and Technical Directors to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Forward Momentum Sales and Marketing has also written various press releases announcing updated design manuals, association updates, and other important topics. These press releases have been distributed and picked-up by various industry trade magazines and other associations that have led to increased exposure. Other projects include an infographic illustrating the importance of American made steel, digital deck illustrations created in Adobe Illustrator to be used in an upcoming article, advertisement to be featured in a future issue of Modern Steel Construction Magazine, and writing an article for an upcoming issue of Structure Magazine.

The Steel Deck Institute continues to be happy with the results they have seen over the past two years by working with Katy. They continue to partner with Forward Momentum Sales and Marketing for various projects for digital and print marketing initiatives.
